Iraq Solidarity News (Al-Thawra) is a British-Iraqi community news service, which provides a venue for analysts and experts to disseminate content on a wide-range of social and political subjects.
Based in Manchester, Iraq Solidarity News (Al-Thawra) helps to provide alternative and in-depth perspectives on current events and is run by the independent organisation, The Iraq Solidarity Campaign UK.
We support the medical, humanitarian and educational efforts, which are being undertaken inside of Britain and Iraq, by the AMAR International Charitable Foundation and we are proud supporters of the Baghdad Women's Association and the Baghdad School of Music & Ballet.
It is also a great honour to support the mental health organisation the Jiyan Foundation, Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation, while also supporting regional based work in the Baqa'a Boxing Club, which is located in the Baqa'a Refugee Camp in the Kingdom of Jordan and An-Najah University in Nablus, Palestine.
Upon this backdrop of active solidarity, Iraq Solidarity News (Al-Thawra) seeks to not only work with established organizations and individuals but to be a support vehicle, for the next generation of citizens and public thinkers.
