Church in Need: “Iraqi Christians can start to go home!”

On Wednesday 28th June, Aid to the Church in Need UK published their latest report: ‘Now Iraqi Christians can start to go home’. In the report you will discover how compassion is making the difference to Christians in Iraq.

Iraq’s Nineveh Plains have been desolate since Daesh seized them in the summer of 2014, causing those living there to flee – most Christians sought sanctuary in the Kurdish capital Erbil where they have been cared for by the Church.

For almost three years they have depended on you for food, shelter, medicine and other emergency aid. Now Daesh has been driven out of the Nineveh Plains, ACN can announce their plans to help rebuild around 13,000 Christian houses through the Nineveh Reconstruction Committee

Aid to the Church in Need is helping to fund the rebuilding project, which is so vital to keeping a Christian presence in Iraq. Aid to the Church in Need, with your help, is also continuing to provide displaced and refugee families with essential food parcels, as their immediate needs are still great.
